Spirituality & Growth

Spiritual Formation
From the Reformed Church in America website come some practical suggestions for scripture reading, prayer, and spiritual leadership, as well as some fairly extensive bibliographies on Lectio Divina, spiritual direction, and even Myers-Briggs Type Indicator resources.

The Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation
The Shalem Institute is an ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to assisting people in spiritual growth through the contemplative tradition. Mennonites have been among those who have studied at the Institute in order to nurture their own Christian walk and becoming spiritual directors for others. The site includes a number of helpful introductory articles on contemplative spiritual formation and spiritual direction as well as a listing of programs offered by Shalem.

Spiritual Directors International
SDI is a world-wide ecumenical membership organization of Christian spiritual directors and the people who train them. It was begun in 1989 at Mercy Center in Burlingame, California. The site contains some helpful information on spiritual direction as well as links to other resources.

Spirituality & Health
This website, a spin-off from the quarterly print magazine of the same name, has an abundance of resources, including articles on spiritual practices, an interactive excercise to assess your own spiritual needs, movie reviews, and "Soul Boosters" email newsletter. Liberal Christian in perspective with openness to learn from other religions.
